Badge Designs

Badge designs inspired by the 1960's, highlighting the memorable events.
These images went on to be part of a wrapping paper design that was in turn the final piece of an Art Foundation year.
Origanally the idea for badges was taken from a self portrait of Peter Blake, as he had a collection of badges pinned to his jacket. I realised badges were designed to make a statement, to express an opinion whether that be through music or politics. In the 1960's many things were happening in the arts world and in the real world, so what better way to sum it up through striking yet simple images on the face of a badge.
